MADE IN: Photoshop CS6
DIFFICULTY: Easy
The tutorial is very simple. I usually don't do that kind of stuff, because I don't save my psd's (I definitely need a larger harddrive, there is barely free space left with all the tv shows I'm watching), but this was pretty easy to recreate, so here we go!
This is the screencap:

The tutorial is very simple. I usually don't do that kind of stuff, because I don't save my psd's (I definitely need a larger harddrive, there is barely free space left with all the tv shows I'm watching), but this was pretty easy to recreate, so here we go!
This is the screencap:

LET'S START
- we start with a simple step, we add a new fill layer Layer → New Fill Layer → Solid Color and set it to #d7b2fa;
- when we are done, we continue with the most painful (for me personally!) step and erasing the background from the original screencap;
→
SOME THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DONE IN BETWEEN
- duplicate the base layer and choose Image → Adjustments → Variatons → More Magenta, then erase the parts on the face and the hair;
- duplicate the base screencap layer again and set it to Screen; do this one more time;
→
- take this texture by
makarosh, Image → Image Rotate → Flip Canvas Horizontal and then put it above the Color Fill Layer and set it to Divide; - erase the top line (or not, depends on how you prefer) and then go to Image → Adjustments → Selective Color, choose Cyan and make it Black: +100% (here it is);
→
- take this texture by
wolfatmidnight and set it to Soft Light, erase the parts where the hair looks too bright; - merge all layers;
→
- duplicate the icon, choose Image → Adjustments → Variations → More Blue + More Magenta, set it to Multiply - Opacity: 43% and erase the parts on the background, the hair and the face;
- duplicate the icon again, choose Image → Adjustments → Variations → More Red, set it to Soft Light - Opacity: 37%;
- add this texture by wolfatmidnight again, choose Image → Adjustments → Variations → More Magenta and set it Soft Light - Opacity: 28%;
FINAL STEP:
- flatten the image, choose the Smudge Tool (size: 2 px, hardness: 0%, mode: normal, strength: 44%) and smudge the parts of the icon which are a bit oversharpened and voila :)

NOTES:
- first time doing tutorial, I hope it's intelligible and helpful and I hope it doesn't suck :D
- I've done this tutorial by memory, but I think the effect in the end is pretty much the same (with a little bit of difference, but anyway)
